Generally, infertility is the inability to conceive despite having unprotected sex at the right time frame and conditions. Infertility may result from any of the steps for pregnancy to occur. The steps expected for pregnancy to occur range from a woman’s body releasing an egg from one of her ovaries to meet sperm released by a man for fertilization to occur. The fertilized egg will then go through a fallopian tube towards the uterus, and the embryo must be attached to the uterus for implantation. Any misstep to this process may lead to infertility.
What Can Cause Infertility?
Infertility may be from either gender. In men, it may be a result of disruption of testicular or ejaculatory function caused by trauma to the testes, unhealthy habits, using of certain medications or supplements, radiation, or certain medical conditions. A hormonal disorder or genetic disorder may also cause it.
